Vue Plymouth Reviews

After paying £33.60 for a family ticket to watch The Croods in 3D, I found out that there was only adult size 3D glasses. It was too late to do anything else as the kids would have been really upset, so I had to try and fashion a strap around the back of the glasses with an elastic band. As you can imagine, this didn't really work, so I spent the entire film holding both kids glasses on by hand! It might be nice, if before you pay for a 3D ticket, that they warn you of this kind of issue, this way I could have decided to save a load of hassle and money and buy a 2D ticket instead.

After all of this hassle, I decided to phone customer service, and spoke to Paul (Agent ID 5051), at the price of 10p a minute.0 After 10 minutes I was told that there was nothing they could do, because I'd watch the whole film. I explained that my 3 year old and 5 year old would not understand Vue cinemas lack of kids glasses/supplier issues, and that is why we watched the film with the adult size glasses. I was then put on hold for another 7 minutes and finally told that I could have a £5 gift voucher for my next visit, which I refused. This pointless phone call cost me £1.70, this money is gained by Vue so the £5 voucher was only really worth £3.30, less than 10% of the price I originally paid!!!

I never accepted the £5 gift voucher as it only serves to make Vue more money if I was to visit again, as the only thing I could buy there for £5 is a coke!!!

Very poor service. I tried really hard to get them to do the right thing and offer me another family ticket or something similar, but they just don't care enough. Big companies like this have ruined the market place, not enough competition, so they no-longer have to provide a decent service.

I recommend going to a different cinema, like The Reel. Or do something else, just don't go here!!
