This is a real toy shop on Royal Parade, the same side of Pizza Hut and almost apposite The Theatre Royal. As a mum and grandmother of seven , I want good quality products that dont fall apart after a days play , dont cost me the earth , are value for money and bang up to date . Whoopee toy shop has the best of all worlds , not only does it sell the toys you see advertised on our televisions , especially around the christmas season , but they sells the sort of toys we want our children to have when they are just starting to learning about play . The staff in the shop are honestly the most helpful, caring and understanding staff I have met in a long time, they take time to listen to the children and enjoy helping them , willing to go that 'extra mile' to make sure that both you and your child are happy with the purchase , nothing is to much for this dedicated team of staff . Recalling my own experiences when trying to get help in Plymouth shops I've found around 50% or more of a stores younger staff would rather talk to friends or other staff than help an adult customer , let alone a child and when at long last you do catch thier eye , they look down thier noses at you like you have just crawled from under a stone covered in cow pat. As incredible as it may seem Whoopee 's staff actually like its customers ..............is this a first I wonder ? In my books Whoopee is the sort of toy shop that all toy stores should model themselves on, not just because they sell quality items at down to earth prices, but because the staff make shopping fun for your children. I am a great fan of the pocket money toy section with its outstanding array of items at real pocket money prices . Along with the wooden toys , soft toys and I just love the large dragon and irresistible finger puppets . If Plymouth had a shop of the year competition then Whoopee would be the first and only shop I'd vote for , well done to its owns and the staff for being one of the most outstanding shops in this region , long may your doors remain open ........bringing magic to the children of this city .
